The seven continents are south america, north america, asia, europe, antarctica, australia, africa
The five oceans consist of southern ocean, indian ocean, pacific ocean, arctic ocean, atlantic ocean
The newest ocean is southern ocean
I use the following acronym to remember the map essentials: dogstailss
The map essentials are Date, orientation, grid, scale, title,author, index, legend, situation, srouce
Each map essential is used for a specific reason (Identify each reason). to tell when the map was made,
The directions on the compass rose are North, South, East, West
I remember the directions of the compass rose by Never Eat Soggy Worms
Latitude runs from _east_____ to _west______.
The important lines of latitude are 0,20,40,60,80
Longitude runs from __north____ to _south_____.
